On May 16, 2024, at 3 PM, our community gathered in the Basic Science Building of Maharajgunj Medical Campus for an amazing engagement that proved nothing short of exceptional. It was a High Altitude Talk Show by Dr. Matt, graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Kamal Thapa and fueled by the vibrant engagement of 28 enthusiastic attendees.
Dr. Matt, with his profound expertise, led us on a captivating journey through the intricacies of expedition medicine. His discourse delved into the multifaceted role of an expedition doctor, offering invaluable insights into the nuanced decision-making processes inherent to high-altitude endeavors. Moreover, he illuminated the paramount significance of understanding and addressing High Altitude Illness, shedding light on its manifestations, prevention strategies, and management techniques.
One of the focal points of Dr. Matt’s discussion was the pivotal role played by environmental factors in shaping the outcome of summit attempts.
