Welcome to the Nepalese Diploma in Mountain Medicine program of the Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal (MMSN). This program has been refined on each iteration over the last eleven years to offer solid training to mountain medicine enthusiasts from all over the world. We accept up to twenty-two medical doctors in each intake globally for a month-long residential training in the Nepalese Himalayas. The unique strength of our program comes from our several years of collaboration between the local Nepalese and experienced international faculty who travel to Nepal to deliver this course giving you a multicultural mountain medicine experience. After three years of pandemic hiatus, we are finally preparing to resume our course set for November-December, 2023. With the evolving training needs post-pandemic, we are also preparing to add limited virtual content leading up to the course so that candidates can maximize their month-long shared and hands-on learning time while in Kathmandu and the Himalayas.
