The Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal successfully organized a wall climbing program at Astrek Climbing Center, Thamel, today on 2081/09/13.
A total of 24 participants attended the events, including 3 students from the Patan Academy of Health Sciences, as well as two medical officers, one who graduated from China and the other from the Nobel Medical College. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by all participants were truly inspiring, reflecting the growing interest in mountain medicine.
At the end of the wall climbing session, Dr. Suraj Bhatta Dai delivered an insightful presentation on the clinical features and management of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE), and High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE). His session was both educational and impactful, making it a valuable learning experience for all mountain medicine aspirants present.
