Hiking For Fun with Case Scenarios : 2024

Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal successfully organized a exhilarating hiking with a theme of “Hiking for Fun with Case Scenarios” on March 2nd, 2024 with a great participation of members in Champadevi Hiking route.

The atmosphere was cheerful, a gentle breeze whispers through the foliage; fostering a sense of community and encouragement among participants to hike. After half an hour of the introduction session we were divided into four groups and the hike began at Bhanjyang, Pharping then proceeded to Champadevi height. After 3 hours of hiking, we finally reached to Champadevi temple.

After having snacks and rest for 30 min we conducted a case simulation as volunteered by our participants. With 30 participants, Dr.Surya Prakash Joshi, Dr. Sanjeev Kharel and Dr. Rohit Rawat led instruction and discussed about airway management, cervical spine stabilisation, pelvic fracture stabilization, use of traction . Participants were also made familiar with basic equipments necessary in those scenarios.

This event not only challenged participants physically but also emphasized teamwork and mutual support. The Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal aims to continue organizing such activities, blending adventure with education to promote fitness and appreciation for mountainous terrain.
