Dear MMSN Members,

On May 31, 2024, Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal (MMSN) hosted an engaging experience sharing program featuring Dr. Saramshika Dhakal. Held in the Basic Science Building of Maharajgunj Medical Campus at 4:00 PM, the session proved to be an exceptional platform for knowledge sharing and inspiration.

The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Buddha Basnyat, who lent his support and valuable insights to the event. Dr. Dhakal, a passionate medical student, captivated the audience of over 40 enthusiastic attendees with her journey through the Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal (MMSN).

Her experience sharing covered a multitude of aspects, including:

• Active participation on the MMSN Newsletter Editorial Board.
• Serving as an Executive Board Member for MMSN.
• Gaining invaluable knowledge and practical skills during a two-month clinical rotation at Oxford University.
• Contributing as a research assistant at the Everest Region.

Dr. Dhakal’s presentation not only highlighted the importance of basic sciences in medicine but also served as a testament to the enriching experiences offered by MMSN. The interactive session fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas and ignited a spark of inspiration amongst the attending students.
