We are  happy to announce that MMSN is opening applications for interested members for the position of volunteer doctor at HRA Manang\Pheriche Aid post in the coming Fall season (Sep\Oct\Nov). In collaboration with MMSN, Himalayan Rescue Association has been running high altitude aid posts at Manang ( 3519 m) and Pheriche ( 4371 m) twice a year during the spring and fall season in collaboration with MMSN.

Interested members can apply within Aug 22, 2024 with a brief cover letter (not more than 200 words) mentioning their preferred location (pheriche or manang or any) and a brief CV to mountainmedicine.nepal@gmail.com with an email subject “HRA Aid Post Volunteer application”.

Candidates with prior experience in medical care at high altitude , previous voluntary role with HRA( at Goisankunda, Manang, Pheriche ) and those with Diploma in Mountain Medicine will be given priority. (However these are not mandatory).

Selected volunteer doctors will be expected to spend their time in the aid post during their stay attending trekkers, porters and locals visiting the clinic as well as to run altitude classes. Expenses of selected doctors during their travel and stay will be covered.
