MMSN member Maniraj Neupane has written an article about altitude sickness in one of the leading national dailies of Nepal, ”Republica”.
“…just a few hours back she thought she was in paradise while she cherished the surrounding beauty as she climbed up the mountain but now she could not walk straight. Her speech too had become slow and slurred. She was not even aware of where she was or what she was saying. At 4380m, these could be the symptoms of a severe form of high altitude illness and if untreated, it can be fatal…”
